Historique :	Il existait autrefois à Neufchâteau un monastère de Clarisses, fondé en 1295, par Marguerite de Navarre, épouse de Ferri III, duc de Lorraine. Cette staue provient vraisemblablement de ce monastère, car elle représente sainte Claire d'Assise, fondatrice de l'ordre des Clarisses.
