Précision_sur la representation :	Le cavalier est représenté ici au plus fort de la lutte avec le dragon. Vêtu de l'armure que portent les cavaliers des guerres d'Italie, avec une écharpe torsadée qui lui barre la poitrine. Il est coiffé d'un casque, le visage dégagé entre la visière et la mentonnière. Il tient de la main droite la lance de fer ou de bois (disparue). Le cheval écrase de son sabot le cou du monstre qui se débat encore avec ses grandes ailes. La groupe, quoique de facture populaire, est animé d'un mouvement qui sied au patron des chevaliers venéré tout au long du moyen-âge. (d'après le chanoine A. Laurent).
